Aikido in Sonoma County Schools

I feel that elementary school children benefit greatly from realistic, instinctual, non-violent self-defense. I have worked with children for 19 years in Sonoma County Schools. My experience includes working with children of all ages in elementary and high schools, troubled teens, special need schools, group, foster, rehab homes, and of course the students that come to New School Aikido. I feel that with my program I can provide the following.

Aikido is a martial art based on harmonizing energy, physical or emotional. There are no competitions in Aikido so all children are winners.

I currently teach ongoing Aikido classes at several Sonoma County schools, including Village Charter, Santa Rosa Charter, Biella, and Luther Burbank as well as others.  I have programs tailored to fit your schedule and feel this would be a great opportunity for your students to explore a non-violent martial art that focuses on positive discipline, non-violent communication, life skills, as well as self-defense (without kicking and punching).

My Aikido program has been very successful at the schools I teach at and I look forward to talking with you about the possibility of bringing this to your School.

Enthusiastically,

Isaiah Wisdom
